  •  Pedieos River Festival

Organizer: Office of the Commissioner for the Environment and Animal Welfare.

Date: April 17- to May 10

Time: 08:00 am

Place: Along the Pedieos River (Linear Parks), including Lakatamia and Strovolos.

It will showcase the power of collaboration among 14 local authorities, 12 government agencies, and 23 NGOs. The aim is to protect the Pedieos River and highlight the natural and cultural heritage of the Nicosia district.

  • Introduction to Agro-PV Systems: Technical, Economic, and Regulatory Aspects (Hybrid)

The seminar presents the basic principles of design and operation of Agro-PV systems, the technical specifications of photovoltaic installations in agricultural environments, as well as the requirements for planting and managing crops under shade. The seminar covers the available financial and institutional tools, presents good practices from Europe and internationally, and analyses how projects can be integrated into support programs such as the Recovery and Resilience Fund and the Common Agricultural Policy.

  • Call for Nominations

The competition is organized by AKTI Project and Research Centre, within the framework of the ‘Zero Waste HoReCa’ project, with the support of the Coca-Cola Foundation.

The competition is addressed to all businesses and members of the Zero Waste HoReCa Network in Cyprus, aiming to encourage HoReCa businesses to take measures towards a green transition. 

Members of the HoReCa Network are invited to submit proposals with best practises related to actions on energy and water conservation, waste minimization, and the development of greener procurement processes within their operations. 

Only members of the Zero Waste HoReCa Network are eligible to participate in the competition.

  • Go Regenerative – Regenerative Agriculture Festival
