This action is part of great commitment to plant 20,000 trees in fire-stricken areas, to give life back to places that lost it unjustly.
All volunteers will be offered snacks, juices and an honorary participation certificate, while children up to 12 years old will also be given a medal,

Cleaning Action in Cape Greco “Empowering Marine Awareness in Cyprus”

Island of resilience – Cyprus’ perspective on climate, sustainability and food security

Date: April 22, 2026

Place: Centre for Social Activities and Welfare of the Municipality of Larnaca

Faced with droughts and water scarcity, Cyprus is being challenged to rethink the use of natural resources at its disposal. In these challenging circumstances, policy-makers, environmentalists, farmers and other affected parties need to rethink the way they operate to ensure access to water and the quality and effectiveness of food production, all whilst ensuring the highest sustainability and environmental protection standards. The conference will set out the challenges that Cyprus as an island nation faces, what the EU could do to address them, and what lessons the EU could learn from Cyprus.

Simultaneous interpretation will be available in Greek, English and French.

The event will also be webstreamed. The streaming will be available on this page on the day of the event. Prior registration for the streaming is not required.
